Nú þegar neyðarstigi almannavarna vegna COVID-19 hefur verið lýst yfir og samkomutakmarkanir hafa verið hertar næstu tvær vikurnar þykir ástæða til að skerpa enn frekar á sóttvörnum í grunnskóla, leikskólum og frístund.
Heimsóknir utanaðkomandi aðila í skólabyggingarnar verða takmarkaðar eins og hægt er næstu tvær vikurnar. Foreldrar/forráðamenn grunnskólabarna eru því beðnir um að koma ekki inn í byggingarnar nema brýna nauðsyn beri til. Foreldrar/forráðamenn leikskólabarna og barna í frístundaveri komi eingöngu í fataklefa og staldri þar eins stutt við og kostur er.
Haft verður samband við þá foreldra/forráðamenn og aðra aðila sem eiga bókaðan fund í skólunum næstu tvær vikur og þeim boðinn rafrænn fundur eða frestun á fundartíma.
Mikilvægt er að þeir sem í skólabyggingarnar koma viðhafi persónubundar sóttvarnir í hvívetna, s.s. þvoi hendur, spritti, haldi a.m.k. 2ja metra fjarlægð og noti grímu ef því verður ekki við komið.

Stricter rules in kindergarten, schools and Frístund-after school program for the next two weeks
Because of the Covid-19 the crisis authorities in Iceland have decided to have stricter restrictions on assemblies for the next two weeks.
Because of that the school administrators in Vestmannaeyjar have decided to limit access to kindergartens, schools and Frístund-after school program.
Visits to the school buildings will be limited as much as possible for the next two weeks. Parents/Guardians of school children are asked not to enter the school buildings unless it is absolutely necessary. Parents/guardians of children in kindergarten and Frístund-after school program should only enter the cloakroom and only stay there for a short amount of time.
For those parents/guardians and others that have an appointment at the schools or kindergarten for the next two weeks will be contacted and offered an online meeting or postponement of the meeting until later.
It is very important that those who enter the schools and kindergartens keep the required distance and sanitize; wash hands, use hand sanitizer and use a mask if the 2 meter rule can´t be followed.
