Engin ný smit hafa greinst í Vestmannaeyjum síðan 6. apríl síðastliðinn. Samtals hafa 103 greinst með veiruna, 65 hafa náð bata og því eru 38 einstaklingar með virk smit. 127 eru í sóttkví.
Á sunnudaginn rennur samkomubann miðað við 10 manns sitt skeið í Vestmannaeyjum. Á mánudag tekur við almenn takmörkun á samkomum sem gildir á landsvísu þar sem miðað er við að ekki séu á sama tíma fleiri en 20 einstaklingar inni í sama rými. Þar með gilda herta
r reglur fyrir Vestmannaeyjar ekki lengur og við fylgjum landslínunni.
Þakkarvert er hversu vel Eyjamenn virtu bannið en það er einmitt ástæða fyrir góðum árangri okkar. Við höldum að sjálfsögðu áfram að virða reglur því það er okkur öllum í hag.
Lögreglustöðin mun opna afgreiðslu sína á mánudag eins og fleiri aðilar. Þrátt fyrir það þurfum við enn að gæta að eigin sóttvörnum og virða nándarregluna upp á 2 metra.

Ogłoszenie sztabu kryzysowego 16.04.2020
Od 6 kwietnia nie potwierdzono w Vestmannaeyjar żadnego nowego przypadku zakażenia. Łącznie u 103 osób potwierdzono zakażenie, 65 wyzdrowiały, a 38 pozostaje zakażonych. 127 osób jest w kwarantannie.
W niedziele kończy się termin obowiązywania zakazu zgromadzeń powyżej 10 osób. Od poniedziałku wchodzą w życie ogólne zasady obowiązujące w kraju w których zakazuje się zgromadzeń powyżej 20 osób w jednym pomieszczeniu. W związku z czym zaostrzone działania w Vestmannaeyjar przestają obowiązywać i postępujemy zgodnie z zasadami krajowymi.
Jesteśmy wdzięczni wszystkim mieszkańcom za przestrzeganie zakazów dzięki czemu mamy dobre wyniki. Kontynuujemy oczywiście przestrzeganie obowiązujących zakazów gdyż to jest dla nas wszystkich dobre.
Posterunek policji zostanie otwarty dla interesantów od poniedziałku tak jak wiele innych miejsc. Pomimo tego musimy przestrzegać zasad higieny i sterylizacji oraz utrzymywać odległość 2 metrów pomiędzy.

An announcement from the crisis authorities.
No one has been diagnosed with the virus since April 6th. In all 103 have been diagnosed with the virus, 65 people have recovered an 38 people are still infected. 127 are quarantined.
On Sunday the gathering ban for 10 people is no longer valid in Vestmannaeyjar. On Monday the same rules that apply in all of Iceland will come into effect here in Vestmannaeyjar, that means that no more than 20 people can be in the same room/space. The rule regarding the 2 meter distance between people is still valid.
We thank the people of Vestmannaeyjar for respecting the rules because that is the reason for our good results of keeping the spreading of the virus to a minimum. Of course we will still be keeping up the good work of following the rules, that is everybodies gain.
The Police station will open the office on Monday, as will some other institutions. In spite of that we still have to ensure hygiene and follow the 2 meter rule.
