Samhliða tóku gildi hertar samkomutakmarkanir sem gilda á öllu landinu og í gær tóku frekari takmarkanir gildi á höfuðborgarsvæðinu vegna fjölda smita.Staðan á landinu er slæm, sérstaklega á suðvesturhorninu og því er gríðarlega mikilvægt að bæjarbúar gæti að og fylgi fyrirmælum um sóttvarnir og virði reglur um samkomutakmarkanir. Þá vil aðgerðastjórn biðla til bæjarbúa að forðast óþarfa ferðalög á höfuðborgarsvæðið og ef nauðsynlega þarf að ferðast þangað að hafa hægt um sig nokkra daga á eftir. An announcement from the crisis authorities
No new infections have been detected in Vestmannaeyjar in the last few days.
There are 5 still in isolation and 36 in quarantine. A state of emergency has been declared in Iceland since there are infections in all parts of the country. Along with the declaration of emergency it has been decided to restrict assemblies in Iceland and in Reykjavík there are more restrictions because of high infection rate. The situation in the country is bad, especially in the south west of Iceland and it is crucial that the residents of Vestmannaeyjar follow the guidelines on sanitizing and the rules on assemblies. The crisis authorities in Vestmannaeyjar want to ask of the people to avoid going to the Reykjavík area and if it is necessary to travel there to be extra careful, both in the capital and when you get back home.
