Fjórir einstaklingar eru í einangrun og 78 í sóttkví. Niðurstöður skimunar á vegum Íslenskrar erfðagreiningar liggja fyrir og reyndust öll sýni sem tekin voru neikvæð.
Aðgerðastjórn vil þakka starfsfólki Íslenskrar erfðagreiningar og Heilbrigðisstofnunar Suðurlands í Vestmannaeyjum fyrir skjót viðbrögð og vel unnin störf við skipulagðar skimanir en samtals hafa um 600 sýni verið tekin. Sömuleiðis þakkar aðgerðastjórn bæjarbúum fyrir góða þátttöku og hafa allir sem einn lagt sitt af mörkum í baráttunni við veiruna með því að gæta vel að eigin smitvörnum. Höldum því áfram!

W ciągu ostatniej doby nie ujawniono nowego przypadku zakażenia w Vestmannaeyjar. Cztery osoby przebywają w izolacji, a 78 poddanych jest kwarantannie. Wyniki badań przeprowadzonych przez Íslenska erfðagreining są już znane i wszystkie wyszły negatywnie.
Sztab chciałby podziękować pracownikom Íslenska erfðagreining i szpitala w Vestmannaeyjar za szybką i sprawną reakcje i wspaniałą prace przy organizacji badań i pobraniu prawie 600 próbek. Sztab dziękuje również mieszkańcom za dobrą frekfencję w badaniach, a także za dobre działania w ochronie osobistej. Tak dalej!

Announcement from crisist authorities 12.08.2020
No new infections have been detected in the Westman Islands in the last 24 hours and the situation is therefore still unchanged. Four individuals are in isolation and 78 in quarantine. The results of the screening by Icelandic Genetics are available and all samples taken were negative.
The Action Board would like to thank the staff of Íslensk erfðagreiningar and the staff of Hospital in the Westman Islands for their prompt response and well-done work on organized screenings, as a total of about 600 samples have been taken. The action committee also thanks the residents for their good participation and everyone has contributed to the fight against the virus by taking good care of their own infection control. Let's move on!
