Hafa verður í huga að við skimun Íslenskrar erfðagreiningar bættust mörg smit við dagana 3.-5. apríl sem hefðu líklega greinst síðar hefði skimun ÍE ekki farið fram. Það er of snemmt að fagna, við erum ekki komin fyrir vind og að öllum líkindum eiga fleiri eftir að greinast með staðfest smit á næstu dögum. Meðfylgjandi er línurit yfir greind staðfest smit í Vestmannaeyjum sem undirrituð tók saman.
Samtals hafa 103 greinst með veiruna, 45 náð bata og eru því enn 58 með virk smit og eru í einangrun. Í dag eru 188 manns í sóttkví.
Ákveðið hefur verið að samkomubann miðað við 10 manns gildi áfram í Vestmannaeyjum að minnsta kosti til og með sunnudeginum 19. apríl nk. Þá verða komnar 4 vikur frá því að það var sett á. Markmiðið er að hefta útbreiðslu sjúkdómsins og verja þannig mannslíf.
Vestmannaeyingar hafa staðið sig vel í að fara eftir reglum og þess vegna erum við að ná árangri. Við gefumst ekki upp og klárum þetta saman.

Od 5 dni tj. od 6 kwietnia nie zdiagnozowano żadnego nowego zakażenia wirusem. Należy przypomnieć, że podczas pobierania próbek przez ÍE w dniach 3 – 5 kwietnia ujawniono wiele przypadków, które nie wyszły by na jaw gdyby nie ich działania. Jest za wcześnie by świętować, to jeszcze nie koniec i najprawdopodobniej u większej ilości osób będą jeszcze potwierdzane zakażenia. Lącznie 103 osoby zostały zdiagnozowane z potwierdzonym zakażeniem, 45 wyzdrowiało, 58 jest nadal chorych i przebywa w izolacji. Na dzień dzisiejszy 188 osób przebywa w kwarantannie.
Zdecydowano, że zakaz zgromadzeń powyżej 10 osób w Vestmannaeyjar będzie obowiązywał przynajmniej do niedzieli 19 kwietnia włącznie. Będą to 4 tygodnie od czasu zaostrzenia działań które mają na celu zatrzymanie rozprzestrzeniania się wirusa i ratowanie życia.
Mieszkańcy wyspy stanęli na wysokości zadania i przestrzegają reguł, dzięki czemu mamy efekty. Nie podamy się i zakończymy to razem.

Announcement from crisis authorities – 11.4.2020
Since April 6th, no infection has been diagnosed in Vestmannaeyjar and that means that there are 5 days without any diagnosis. The Decode genetics screening that took place on April 3rd-5th detected more infections that would have otherwise not been detected until later.
It is too early to celebrate, we are not safe yet and probably more will be infected and diagnosed in the coming days. Along with this announcement is a chart showing confirmed cases in Vestmannaeyjar put together by the undersigned.
In total 103 have been diagnosed with the virus, 45 have recovered and 58 people are still with active infections who are in isolation. Today 188 people are in quarantine.
It has been decided that the ban on mass gatherings for more than 10 people is still valid in Vestmannaeyjar at least until Sunday the 19th of April. At that time it will be 4 weeks since the ban was implemented. The goal is to slow down the spread of the disease and by that protecting lives.
The people of Vestmannaeyjar have been good at following the rules and that is why we have so much success. We will not give up and will finish this together.
